What if CEMS fails to pass Part 75 certification requirements?

The quality assurance & quality control (QA/QC) plan as part of the rule mandated recordkeeping requirement is maintained at a regulated facility or unit to maintain a high quality, highly accurate, and reliable CEMS. However, if the CEMS fails to pass the ongoing certification tests such as the daily calibration error check, it will be deemed out-of-control (OOC) and corrective actions are required immediately to restore the affected monitors back to the prescribed standards. The missing data during the OOC period must be substituted according to the approved QA/QC plan procedure.
